Brittany Carroll is the Project Assistant at Family Online Safety Institute.

2012 has been an exciting year for A Platform for Good!  Thank you for helping to make our inaugural year a huge success!  We can’t wait to show you all the great things we have planned for 2013!

Last week, we featured one industry expert’s New Year’s Resolutions and asked you to submit your own.  Now it is our turn.  Maybe by making them public, we’ll be more likely to stick to them?

So, here are the Tech Resolutions for 2013 from each of us on the team at the Family Online Safety Institute:

My New Years Resolution is to…

…change my passwords to make them more difficult to guess. – Stephen (CEO)

…be a better role model by unplugging more often and scheduling tech-free time with my kids. – Nancy (Project Manager)

…get my grandparents on social media so they can connect with their kids and grandkids. I think they would love to see their kids and grandkids photos! I think they are a little intimidated by technology so I need to make some time to help them.  -- Jen (Director, Legal & Policy)

…learn how to use a MAC. – Sarah (Project Administrator)

…learn how to use Twitter. I am sure life will never be quite the same once I have done it -- I got to keep up! – David (Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa)

…organize and sync all of my music on my iPad, Mac laptop, and iPod!  I also want to learn how to create better graphics on Photoshop and learn how to code! -- Brittany (Project Assistant)

…learn how to use Instagram. – Emma M. (International Policy Manager)

…make more use of video conference services (e.g.  Skype) to better keep in touch with family and friends on a more regular and personal basis. – Braden (Administrator)

…teach my parents how to use “What’s App” to get in touch with me more cost effectively. -- Amy (Events Coordinator)

…review my friends on Facebook -- there are people on there I haven’t spoken to in years! I’m also going to help my mum get to grips with her new smartphone. -- Matt (EMEA Project Manager)

…learn to take better digital photos and to teach myself how to edit them using software to make them look better. – Emma H. (GRID Senior Manager & Project Manager)
